Position Overview
Going Beyond the Pink’s mission is to empower breast cancer patients and survivors with knowledge and support so they can thrive through treatment into survivorship. We are seeking a part-time Executive Director (ED) to provide visionary leadership, strategic direction, and operational oversight for the organization’s mission of supporting breast cancer survivors through education, programs, advocacy, and community connection. The ED serves as the primary spokesperson, relationship builder, and organizational steward, ensuring programs are effective, sustainable, and responsive to the survivor community.
Key Responsibilities
Mission, Vision & Strategy
Lead the development and implementation of the organization’s strategic plan in partnership with the Board.
Ensure all initiatives align with organizational values and address the evolving needs of breast cancer survivors.
Represent the organization in the community and collaborate with partner agencies, healthcare providers, and civic organizations to advance the mission.
Protect organizational reputation and credibility.
Fundraising & Resource Development
Lead fundraising strategy including donor stewardship, campaigns, major gifts, events, and grants.
Identify grant opportunities, write proposals, and oversee reporting for awarded grants.
Represent the organization as the public-facing lead for third-party fundraisers, initiatives, including attending planning meetings, supporting promotion, and cross-promoting campaigns through organizational channels
Ensure accurate tracking, reporting, and reconciliation of fundraising revenue across platforms and events
Marketing, Communications & Advocacy
Increase organization visibility through effective marketing and communications.
Serve as the primary spokesperson for the organization, educating the public and representing the survivor community.
Financial Management & Administration
Develop and manage the annual budget.
Ensure financial integrity, sound internal controls, and adherence to all legal and compliance requirements.
Oversee daily operations, including HR, facilities, technology, and administrative systems.
Board of Engagement & Governance
Collaborate closely with the Board of Directors to support governance, strategic decision-making, and organizational development.
Provide timely, accurate reports on organizational health, finances, and program outcomes.
Support recruitment, onboarding, and development of board members and committees.
Ensure grant, legal, and ethical compliance
Managing reporting deadlines
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, public health, social work, business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of leadership experience within nonprofits, healthcare, community services, or related fields.
Experience managing staff and volunteers.
Demonstrated success in fundraising, grant writing, and donor engagement.
Strong financial management and budgeting experience.
Excellent communication and community-building skills.
Preferred:
Experience working with cancer survivors or in a health-related nonprofit.
Deep expertise in breast health, survivorship, or oncology-adjacent work
Knowledge of trauma-informed care, survivorship programs, or patient navigation.
Familiarity with Quickbooks.com, Google Workspace, Canva, Kit, Monday.com, Trello, Squarespace, and Givelively.

Compensation & Benefits
Part-time: 30-hours/week
Salary range: $45,000 - $55,000 annually, based on experience;
Benefits: one week PTO, PTO during winter holiday break, and paid Federal holidays.
